Hello all, as you may have realised it is the beginning of the 21 day fast of Daniel! yep no entertainment!
To be honest when I heard it was coming I was like 'oh great and its Christmas! ergh!' not that I didn't want to take part, but I just felt so burdened...like I wouldn't be able to enjoy my Christmas, or do anything!
Well today came..and to my surprise, I didn't feel burdened I couldn't wait to seek His presence! I was ready to go all out to get closer to my God, because to be very sincere, recently I have not been doing as much as I should be with my one and only love, and im ashamed to say that, but for this 21 days my aim and purpose is to reconnect with Him, be RENEWED, to organise myself around my precious time with Him and not the other way around!
Today, I almost fell into bad habits straight away...checking BBM argh lol gotta kick that! but over all it was a great day!
So here goes the most challenging 21days by far! and im SO ready for it :D
Today I read Daniel chapter 10 and it was talking about first of all the FAST that he did for 3 weeks lol what really stood out though was verse 17- 19
"For how can this servant of my lord talk with you, my lord? As for me, no strength remains in me now, nor is any breath left in me. Then again, the one having the likeness of a man touched me and strengthened me. And he said, O man greatly beloved, fear not! Peace be with you; be strong, yes, be strong! So when he spoke to me I was strengthened, and said, Let my lord speak, for you have strengthened me."
From this I get that when we have no strength what-so-ever God will come and strengthen us, that through the 21days there may come a point where I will have no strength to carry on, but He will come and touch me with his spirit strengthen me and by the end I will have Peace within me!
I cant wait for the days to come! Excitement is building.
