Bible In A Year - Day 2

Sorry its late! motivation is hard for this one but i must keep going!

Matthew 2 i read it this morning!

this chapter speaks about when King Herod heard about the birth of Jesus and ordered the males of 2 years or younger to be killed, when the wise men went to Jesus, to be honest there isnt much i can say. One thing that did stand out though was how joyful the wise men were when they saw Jesus, i mean this time He was just born, He hadn't done anything except maybe cry and poo or something, but it says they rejoiced with EXCEEDINGLY great joy! which just shows how special Jesus was even from birth. But yet these days He doesnt get this sort of praise even after everything He has done..hmm...

Evening Readings...

Genesis 4,5,6

Genesis 4 talks about the story of Cain and Abel, everyone can see a difference between them in offerings, that Cain didnt give his best...he got angry about it, killed his brother but most of all he disrespected God! When God asked him where his brother was, he lied and answered in such a bad way!

"9 Then the LORD said to Cain, “Where is Abel your brother?”
He said, “I do not know. Am I my brother’s keeper?”

First off, he did know where he was, because he just killed him! and also, if an authority (and remember no authority is greater then God) asked you a question would you answer him like that??! i think not...when i think about this i can imagine him saying it with such attitude.
The chapter then goes on to speak about the offspring of Cain and then the birth of a third son to Adam and Eve.

Genesis 5 isnt that exciting really lol, most of it speaks about the Genealogy of Adam up until Noah was born and has his sons. But again as i spoke about in the last post, male and female is mentioned...

"1 This is the book of the genealogy of Adam. In the day that God created man, He made him in the likeness of God. 2 He created them male and female, and blessed them and called them Mankind in the day they were created."

again it says He called then MANKIND, He created THEM need i say more?

Genesis 6 speaks about when God saw how Earth was and commanded Noah to build the ark...

Ok theres 3 things i want to speak about...1st before this the people lived 900 years crazy lengths of time, in verse 3 it says..

"3 And the LORD said, “My Spirit shall not strive[a] with man forever, for he is indeed flesh; yet his days shall be one hundred and twenty years.”

Bare in mind this is way before Jesus's time, God said His spirit will not strive/battle with man forever for he is flesh. indeed we are flesh and our bodies cannot last forever..this verse its like God put a limit on how long we can live, although i think 1 or two people have exceeded this, but to me its like this should be our life expectancy, the way today is, todays culture no wonder its way lower.

2nd thing is verse 5,6 and 7 when God saw how the Earth was...

"5 Then the LORD[b] saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. 6 And the LORD was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart. 7 So the LORD said, “I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping thing and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made them.”

verses 6 and 7 are the main points to focus on! God said He was sorry he ever made man kind and was GRIEVED! ouch...when a PERSON said that to me i feel so disappointed in myself, but GOD saying it ouch...feel the burn! He said He was sorry He made us! if that was back then can you imagine now?! Thank God that He sent Jesus to die for us or we may have been wiped out like this everyday...poh...this disappoints me so much and makes me feel disappointed in man kind today really..in myself sometimes...this is defiantly strong.

and the final thing issss.....

When God told Noah how the ark should be, one thing i notice is how much of an artist God is (well we should see that from everything around us really lol) but the way He is so precise, He know exactly what He wants, how He wants it...this is how we should do the work of God in this way, God makes no mistakes of how He wants things done, so if we are going to do something for Him we should ask Him first! because He know exactly what should look like what, how to do this in the precise way only He knows how! its amazing :D my Dad (yeah that right my DAD :D) is such an artist and so creative...wow He amazes me so much....

So thats it for todayy :D tomorrows reading are as follows

Morning : Matthew 3

Evening : Genesis 7, 8, 9

if your joining me let me know! :D

laterss
