Bible In A Year - Day 4

This is yesterdays readings :)

Matthew 4

This chapter speaks about when Jesus was tempted by the devil after He fasted for 40 days and 40 nights, first thing we need to realise is if the devil tempted JESUS he will tempt us ok lol, second of all, Jesus used the WORD OF GOD to counteract the temptations, even when the devil used the word of God against Jesus (yeah he know the word of God!) Jesus still used it to defeat him. Theres also a verse when satan says to Jesus that he will give Him everything if He worships him....which makes no sense lool because Jesus has is anyway, just shows how stupid and still stupid and desperate the devil is he will do anything and use anything!
After this Jesus started calling the disciples to follow Him, He called FISHERMEN and made them FISHERS OF MEN...we should be like this.

Genesis 10,11,12

chapter 10 is just genealogy so skip that..

chapter 11, it was just the beginning of the chapter as the rest of it is genealogy , verse 1 it says the whole Earth had 1 language, they united together to build a tower...the tower isnt important, its the unity...when we come to God, we have one language, faith, and so we should be united because God Himself even said...


"⁶And the LORD said, “Indeed the people are one and they all have one language, and this is what they begin to do; now nothing that they propose to do will be withheld from them. "


so if we all have 1 language, FAITH, and we are all a family or as ONE, nothing that we propose to do for the Kingdom of God can be withheld from us!


Chapter 12 nothing really stood out for me, but it happens :) it just speaks about when Abram left his country, obeyed God in doing so. One thing i just noticed though is that wherever he went, he made an alter to God, so it doesnt matter if we are in the desert God is there!
