Does your spiritual life smell like garbage?

 I don't know about you, but when I see a garbage truck I want to run away I CAN'T STAND the smell of it, and its like, when it goes the smell still lingers around.
On my way home the other day this happened, and I thought to myself, can't they put something nice smelling in there or something?! And then I thought to my self, that would be pointless the smell would destroy the good smell like no ones business lol.
This got me thinking about some peoples spiritual life...it stinks! The Holy Spirit can't come near, or rather in them, it would be pointless. People 'run' from this person, avoid them because they 'stink'.

Before people get emotional let me explain what I mean, if the Holy Spirit entered them it would be pointless because the rubbish they fill themselves with 'consumes' the good smell of the Holy Spirit, no amount of 'cleaning products' will do because they keep, day after day, filling themselves with rubbish, and not just their OWN rubbish but OTHER PEOPLES (just like the truck), other peoples comments, actions, gossip, pointless stories, negativity etc. everyday its like they do their 'rounds' to the 'houses' and collect ALL the rubbish, come home and 'empty' it out (although it never fully is empty) in the form of anger, addition, abuse, self harm and many other things, and the next day do the same thing again.
This rubbish they collect inside spreads and leaves a nasty lingering smell on the outside resulting in people wanting to stay away from them completely!

And then, what does this mean for you? do you look at yourself and see that you have been collecting rubbish for many years? have you had enough? you see you finally want once and for all to wash yourself, get rid of the smell and the causes of it? The first thing you need to do is to acknowledge that this is going on, humbling yourself to see the situation is the first step because pride will get you nowhere. Secondly get help, people want to pretend they can do it all themselves but truth is we cant, call upon God to help you, make a prayer, tell Him exactly how you feel and what the deal is, He has been waiting for you your whole life, give Him a chance.

And if your are thinking...oh church its not for me, or im too young etc etc and you know you need help then you are saying that you love the stink of your inner self and you want to keep it that way, full of rotten garbage. And I am sure NO ONE wants that!
