Bible In A Year - Day 1

Matthew 1.
This chapter speaks about the generations from Abraham to Jesus, what i think is interesting that they note are that each of the 3 'stops' are all 14 generations...

"¹⁷ So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations, from David until the captivity in Babylon are fourteen generations, and from the captivity in Babylon until the Christ are fourteen generations."


what i also think is interesting is the way Joseph dealt with the news of Mary's pregnancy from the Angel of God through a dream, men may have heard this and acted in an un-rational way but he simply obeyed, and not only that he respected Mary still as he should...

^"24 Then Joseph, being aroused from sleep, did as the angel of the Lord commanded him and took to him his wife, ²⁵ and did not know her till she had brought forth her firstborn Son.^[e]And he called His name JESUS."

Genesis 1 :

This chapter speaks about God creating the Earth, the first thing i notice is straight forward and doesnt need explanation...

"⁴ And God saw the light, that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness."


Light and Dark CANNOT mix!

The next thing, i kinda new this but i wanted to really read it for myself...it was something me, the assist Pr and few others were discussing one day ... Adam and Eve were NOT the only humans to be created in the beginning, confused? have a look...

^"27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. ²⁸Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” 


Note it says 'male and female He created THEM' not He created Adam and Eve, not He created man and woman.... He created them MALE and FEMALE.

So then after this happened...Genesis 2 now... it says God formed man (Adam) out of the dust of the ground and breathed life into his nostrils....but why did He do this if He already created man?
now..related to marriage and love life, this chapter says that God formed everything for Adam, cattle, birds to give him company, but there was still no comparable helper for him, this is where God caused Adam to go into a deep sleep and he created Eve and Adam said...

^"23 And Adam said:
      “This is now bone of my bones
      And flesh of my flesh;
      She shall be called Woman,
      Because she was taken out of Man.”



It Then Says
"²⁴ Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh."

i think this is very important to understand and meditate on, especially if you are at the stage that Love Life has become a factor to think about. Some people can be immature about love life and say many things that later on they will regret or swallow their words about later on such as 'i will never get married' it is understandable if you have gone through certain things...i remember i used to say that because of past traumas, but we all have needs, that verse is straight from the word of God not me. :)

Genesis 3..

Women this is the source of our pain lol...

This chapter speaks about the disobedience and beginning of the sin of man....eating the fruit of the forbidden tree, because of this God punished them (not to mention the fact Adam pointed fingers and Eve, and Eve pointed fingers at the serpent made things worse).

^"16 To the woman He said:
      “I will greatly multiply your sorrow and your conception;
      In pain you shall bring forth children;
      Your desire shall be for your husband,
      And he shall rule over you.”
